We are pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibition. Paintings by the late William Harby (1927 – 2015) are on view until October 14, 2021. Harby, whose careers in art and engineering alternated and overlapped for much of his life, spent many of his most creative and productive artistic years in York in the summer home and studio on Western Point he shared with his family.
To learn more about William Harby and his art, please visit the York Hospital Art Gallery page at http://file.offsteel.com/online-art-gallery/.
While the York Hospital cafeteria is not yet open to the general public for in-person dining, we are pleased to say that patients, visitors and staff who use the cafeteria are able to see this installation on the walls of the dining room, as well as in our online gallery. Until the cafeteria art gallery reopens to the public, everyone can also view the artwork virtually 24/7 and enjoy a few moments of peace and calm, from the convenience of home or wherever access to the internet exists. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artworks on view will support York Hospital’s 冰球突破 Caring For All Fund.
